My Favorite 3-Ingredient Sauces That Make Everything Taste Better

A good sauce = instant upgrade. These are my ride-or-dies for making any meal so much better with almost no effort.

Here are three of my easiest, most-used sauces:

Tahini-Lemon

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Splash of water to thin + pinch of salt

Great on roasted veggies, grain bowls, wraps.

Soy-Lime-Honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1 tsp honey (or maple)

Perfect as a stir-fry sauce or drizzle for grilled proteins.

Chili Crisp Sesame

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 Tbs spicy chili crisp

  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil

Delicious as a dip, dressing, or sandwich spread.

I’m such a sauce person. Pesto, creamy orange Asian dressing, chipotle aioli (Bitchin’ Sauce is a great store-bought option)—they’re total meal changers.

Pro tip: Freeze homemade sauces in ice cube trays for instant “flavor bombs” ready to amp up any meal.

How to Use These Sauces

  • Drizzle on roasted veggies.

  • Toss with proteins (chicken, tofu, fish).

  • Stir into rice bowls or salads.

  • Use as spreads for wraps and sandwiches.
